Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to prepare and cut meat products according to company standards. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality meat preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Cut, trim, debone, and prepare meat (beef, poultry, lamb, etc.) according to specifications
Ensure proper portioning and presentation of meat products
Inspect meat quality and ensure freshness at all times
Store meat products safely and maintain proper temperature controls
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations strictly
Assist customers with meat selection and provide recommendations if required
Manage stock levels and report shortages or wastage
Label, package, and display products appropriately
Requirements:
Proven experience as a butcher or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and handling procedures
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus)
Good physical stamina and ability to handle heavy lifting
Attention to detail and precision in cutting
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and customer service skills
10 hours duty timing
One day weekly off
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification in food safety or meat handling
Experience in supermarkets, restaurants, or meat processing facilities
