Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Salad & Sandwich Maker to prepare fresh, high-quality food items in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will ensure food safety, maintain hygiene standards, and deliver consistent taste and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of salads and sandwiches according to recipes and customer preferences
Wash, cut, and portion ingredients (vegetables, meats, breads, sauces, etc.)
Ensure proper food presentation and portion control
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas
Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
Label and store food items properly to maintain freshness
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
Provide friendly and efficient service when interacting with customers
Requirements:
Proven experience in food preparation or a similar role (preferred)
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good attention to detail and consistency
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to stand for long hours and handle kitchen equipment safely
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
10 hours duty timing
One day weekly off
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Food safety certification (e.g., HACCP) is an advantage
Experience in cafes, restaurants, or quick-service outlets
