Job Summary: We are seeking skilled and experienced Continental Cooks to prepare a variety of high-quality continental dishes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of international cuisine, maintain high hygiene standards, and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of continental dishes (breakfast, grills, pasta, salads, sauces, etc.)
Follow recipes and ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
Assist in menu planning and development
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage of ingredients
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth operations during service
Minimize food wastage and manage portion control
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Continental Cook or similar role
Strong knowledge of continental cuisine and cooking techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
Good teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
10 hours duty timing
One day weekly off
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management
Experience in hotels, fine dining restaurants, or catering services
Knowledge of multiple international cuisines is an advantage
