Principal Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Principal Engineer you will be providing technical leadership to create high quality software by owning architecture, design and implementation of services within a product. You will be responsible for the technical guidance and mentoring of a team. This role will require excellent communication skills as you will collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements, product architects to propose architectural changes and other product owners to drive features to completion with good quality. 

Key Skills: 

10 – 14 years of experience, preferably in a product company.

Extensive hands on experience in Go/Python/C/C++/Java on Unix/Linux or Windows platform

Excellent programming skills along with Data structures, Algorithms, Design Concepts.

Experience in working with SoA (Service oriented Architecture)

Hands-on experience in networking and Multi-threading.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS), system programming is a plus.

Experience building technology stack for large scale SaaS service is a plus.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

Role And Responsibilities:

Play key role in delivering technical design, development and implement highly available, scalable, and secure products with excellent quality for Druva product line.

Work as an Individual Contributor on wide-range of AWS technologies (like API gateway, lambda, ec2, s3, workflow engine etc) along with other storage/backup/restore technologies like snapshot, vss etc. to come up with best of the breed next-gen backup engines.

Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple layers of architecture.

Recommend development best practices for product improvement and development.

Provide technical leadership and be a role model to software engineers pursuing technical career path in engineering

Responsible for ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Qualification:

B.Tech / B.E / M.E. / M.Tech (Computer Science) or equivalent.
