Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indian Senior Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in traditional and modern Indian dishes, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic Indian dishes (North & South Indian cuisine)
Design and update menus, ensuring variety, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and teamwork
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Monitor food quality, freshness, and kitchen hygiene standards
Manage inventory, food cost control, and ordering of supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP standards)
Coordinate with management for special menus, events, and promotions
Optimize kitchen operations for efficiency and productivity
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Indian Chef, with at least 5–10 years of experience, including a senior role
Expertise in a wide range of Indian cuisines (tandoor, curry, biryani, regional specialties)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Creativity and passion for culinary innovation
Good communication skills
10 hours duty timing
One day weekly off
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management
Experience working in hotels, fine dining restaurants, or catering services
Knowledge of international cuisines is an added advantage
