Role Overview
We are seeking passionate and skilled Field Geophysicists to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in conducting field surveys, ensuring precise data acquisition, maintaining rigorous quality control, and providing actionable insights to drive exploration success.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead and execute Gravity & Magnetic Data Acquisition across diverse project areas.
-Conduct & oversee field surveys, ensuring efficient and seamless data collection.
-Process and interpret geophysical data using advanced methodologies.
-Apply critical thinking to solve complex geophysical challenges in real time.
-Ensure Quality Control (QC) and compliance with industry best practices.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, effectively presenting geophysical insights.
-Optimize survey methodologies for enhanced efficiency and data accuracy.
Required Qualifications & Expertise
-PhD/Master’s in Geophysics, Geosciences, or a related field.
-3 – 7 years of hands-on experience in geophysical surveys & data interpretation.
-Proven expertise in Gravity & Magnetic Data Acquisition, Processing & Interpretation.
-Strong knowledge of geophysical survey methodologies, tools, and best practices.
-Experience with geophysical software for data processing & analysis (preferred).
-Exceptional communication & presentation skills to translate geophysical data into actionable insights.
Role Overview
As a Consulting Lead GIS Analyst, you will play a critical role in survey planning, execution, data processing, and geospatial analysis. Your expertise in GIS platforms, geospatial data management, and field surveys will support topographical studies, geological mapping, mineral exploration, and geophysical interpretations.
Key Responsibilities – JD & KRA’s
Survey Planning & Execution:
-Plan, review, and execute ground-based and drone-based geophysical surveys.
-Supervise survey operations, field teams, and data acquisition processes.
-Ensure accurate data collection, processing, and integration into GIS platforms.
GIS Mapping & Data Processing:
-Prepare Topographical, Geological, and Mineral Exploration Maps using GIS tools.
-Perform data digitization, georeferencing, and spatial analysis.
-Utilize GIS platforms such as QGIS, ArcGIS, and others for advanced geospatial analytics.
-Integrate remote sensing data with GIS for better interpretation.
Geospatial Data Management & Analysis:
-Process and analyse geophysical survey data, DEMs, and spatial datasets.
-Conduct 3D modelling, terrain analysis, and spatial data visualization.
-Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with geospatial standards.
GPS & Remote Sensing Integration:
-Manage GPS data collection, correction, and integration with GIS databases.
-Process and analyse satellite imagery, LiDAR, and UAV-based survey data.
-Assist in developing machine learning or AI-based geospatial solutions (preferred).
Reporting & Documentation:
-Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and survey plans.
-Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and survey engineers to interpret data.
-Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and clients.
Collaboration & Field Work:
-Work closely with interdisciplinary teams in geology, geophysics, and remote sensing.
-Conduct field visits and on-site assessments for real-time data validation.
-Adapt to challenging field conditions and execute on-ground learning.
