Scope

 

The Vice Principal will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of education, curriculum development, leading recruitment and training of staff and building positive relationships with parents and guardians.

 

 Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive academic curriculum that meets international standards and caters to the diverse interests and career aspirations of the students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student academic success and well-being.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider school community to promote academic initiatives.
  • Ensure that teaching methods and materials are up-to-date and effective.
  • Monitor and analyze students’ performance and use the data to drive academic decisions and strategies.
  • Lead recruitment, training and professional development for teaching staff in primary and secondary schools.
  • Carry out routine classroom evaluations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Collaborate with teachers to establish instructional goals and maintain consistent teaching practices across all grade levels.
  • Provide personalized academic interventions to meet the unique needs of each student facing challenges.
  • Oversee the scheduling and execution of all assessments, including standardized tests and internal exams
  • Establish and supervise initiatives that cater to varied learning styles and needs, with a focus on ESL support
  • Lead the creation of the academic calendar and coordinate both academic and co-curricular programs and events
  • Support extracurricular programs and initiatives that enhance students’ academic experience
  • Collaborate with the Principal and finance team to plan and oversee the academic budget, ensuring alignment with educational priorities.
  • Represent the school in academic conferences, workshops, and professional networks.
  • Serve as the Principal’s representative on academic matters in their absence, ensuring continuity in leadership and decision-making.

 Requirements

 

  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership in Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching or educational leadership roles, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
  • Proven expertise in curriculum design and instruction.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge or IB is highly preferred.
  • Must possess leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Must be tech-savvy with knowledge of digital learning tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Possesses a strong awareness of cultural diversity and a global perspective.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
