Indian Senior Chef

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indian Senior Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in traditional and modern Indian dishes, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for culinary excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic Indian dishes (North & South Indian cuisine)
  • Design and update menus, ensuring variety, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and teamwork
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Manage inventory, food cost control, and ordering of supplies
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP standards)
  • Coordinate with management for special menus, events, and promotions
  • Optimize kitchen operations for efficiency and productivity

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Indian Chef, with at least 5–10 years of experience, including a senior role
  • Expertise in a wide range of Indian cuisines (tandoor, curry, biryani, regional specialties)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Creativity and passion for culinary innovation
  • Good communication skills
  • 10 hours duty timing
  • One day weekly off
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management
  • Experience working in hotels, fine dining restaurants, or catering services
  • Knowledge of international cuisines is an added advantage
  • Experience in GCC/UAE kitchens preferred
